LA MIRADA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team (0-2) fell 78-70 to Biola (1-1) in the its final game at the CCAA/PacWest Conference Challenge on Saturday at Chase Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Biola led wire-to-wire in the first half, leading by as many as eight points after Myja White made a layup to make it 10-2 with 17:48 remaining in the half.
- The Cougars cut the Eagles lead to one at 22-21 on a Justin White second-chance layup with 6:38 remaining in the period.
- After Biola built its lead back up to seven at 28-21, CSUSM ended the half on an 8-2 run that was capped by a Henderson 3-pointer to make it 30-29 with two ticks remaining.
- The Cougars shot 34.3% (12-of-35) in the first half while the Eagles came in at 32.3% (10-of-31).
- CSUSM had a 25-21 lead in rebounds after 20 minutes.
- CSUSM took its first and only lead of the game 22 seconds into the second half as Jayden White hit a jumper in the paint to make it 31-30.
- Biola took its largest lead of the game at 58-47 after White made a layup and converted on his free throw attempt with 8:55 remaining.
- CSUSM cut Biola's lead to four on two occasions in the final 5:18 as Henderson made it 64-60 with a second-chance layup and Schultz draining a 3-pointer off a turnover to make it 72-68, but that was as close as the Cougars came to the Eagles' lead.
- BU shot a hot 58.3% (14-of-24) from the field in the second half while CSUSM clocked in at 39.5% (15-of-38).
- The Eagles converted 16 of their 20 free throw attempts in the final 20 minutes.

- The Cougars shot 37% (27-of-73) from the field while the Eagles shot 43.6% (24-of-55).
- CSUSM scored 18 points on second-chance baskets while 15 points came from turnovers.
- Biola was on top for 38:09 while CSUSM led for just 18 seconds.
- Henderson and Collins each tallied their first double-doubles of the season.
- BU's Nathan Medina led all scorers with 25 points and was one of four Eagles in double figures.
- The Cougars outrebounded the Eagles, 42-41. CSUSM came down with 15 offensive boards.

- CSUSM had seven blocked shots while BU recorded four. The Cougars' seven blocks tied for the third-most in program history.
