SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (5-2-3, 2-0-2 CCA) picked up a point in the CCAA standings with a scoreless draw against RV Cal State LA (5-1-4, 2-0-2) on Sunday afternoon at The Cage.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Scoreless after 45 minutes, LA led CSUSM in shots at 4-3 while the Golden Eagles took the only two shots on goal for the game that were saved by Cougar keeper Allison Marcure.
- The Cougars led the first half in corner kicks at 3-2.
- In the 58th minute of action, LA's Shelby Melin took a penalty kick following a CSUSM foul in the box, but her shot went several feet above the goal.
- Both teams ended the second half with two shots while none were on goal.
- LA led the second half in corner kicks at 4-1.
