HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Just under six minutes into the game, Ramos took a corner from the right side that found the head of Paulson, who put it into the right side of the goal to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead.
  • In the 16th minute, Jensen scored her first goal of the day after taking a shot that went off the Toro keeper and right back to her before taking a second shot that found the back of the net from the middle of the box to put CSUSM up 2-0.
  • Just a few minutes later in the 21st minute, Jensen scored her second goal of the day. A feed from the left side of the field by Huntington allowed Jensen to take position right at the start of the box. From six yards out on the left side, Jensen put the ball into the lower right corner of the goal to give the Cougars a three-goal lead.
  • Brianna Delgado scored CSUSM's fourth goal of the half in the 34th minute. With a high, floating pass over two CSUDH defenders by Ibarra in the middle of the Toro territory, Delgado took possession in the center of the box and put a high shot into the left side of the goal to put the Cougars up 4-0.
  • The Cougars' fifth goal of the afternoon came in the 50th minute. On another corner kick by Ramos, Huntington headed the ball into the right side of the net to give CSUSM a 5-0 lead.
  • CSUSM wrapped up the scoring in the 89th minute as Morton made a pass to her right at the top of the box to Laurens, who put the ball into the lower left corner of the goal from just right of the penalty kick marker and put the Cougars up 6-0.
