HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening set and stayed with the Coyotes until CSUSB rattled off four unanswered points. The Coyotes closed out the set with a 25-17 win.
- The second set was a bit of déjà vu with CSUSM holding its own against the nationally-ranked team until the midway point. CSUSB closed out the set with a 25-16 win. The Coyotes finished the set with a .633 clip.
- CSUSB jumped out early in the third set and never looked back, collecting another 25-16 win for the sweep.
