SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (6-9, 4-3 CCAA) dropped a three-set match to No. 14 Cal State San Bernardino (12-3, 5-2 CCAA) on Thursday night in the Coussoulis Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Cougars jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening set and stayed with the Coyotes until CSUSB rattled off four unanswered points. The Coyotes closed out the set with a 25-17 win.
• The second set was a bit of déjà vu with CSUSM holding its own against the nationally-ranked team until the midway point. CSUSB closed out the set with a 25-16 win. The Coyotes finished the set with a .633 clip.
• CSUSB jumped out early in the third set and never looked back, collecting another 25-16 win for the sweep.
