SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – In the first contest of its three-game road trip, the Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team (7-6-3, 4-3-2 CCAA) fell 2-0 at Cal State San Bernardino (6-5-4, 3-4-2 CCAA) on Friday afternoon at Premier Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Scoreless after 45 minutes, the Cougars put up two shots compared to the Yotes' seven while both sides put one shot on goal. CSUSB also had a 2-1 advantage on corner kicks.
• The Yotes broke the scoreless tie in the 61st minute as Negrete put a missile of a shot into the top left corner of the goal from 10 yards behind the top right corner of the box to give CSUSB a 1-0 lead.
• Negrete scored his second goal of the game for the Yotes in the 88th minute with another shot from 10 yards outside of the box into the bottom left corner of the goal after a receiving a quick pass from Garcia.

• CSUSB led the way in shots at 14-6 while putting five on goal to CSUSM's two.
• Both sides ended the game with two corner kicks.
• Justin Carreon took a team-high two shots for the Cougars.
• Of CSUSM's possession's, 57% of them occurred in CSUSB territory.
