SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team (6-5-3, 3-2-2 CCAA) earned a point with a 2-2 draw against Sonoma State (5-6-3, 3-3-1 CCAA) on Friday at The Cage.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars began the scoring in the ninth minute as Curtis Collazos put a shot into the net from near the top of the box after a pass from Wasserman to give CSUSM a 1-0 lead.
- CSUSM ended the half with a 1-0 lead after taking six shots with two on goal while both of SSU's two shots were on goal.
- The Seawolves evened the score at 1-1 in the 47th minute. Off a corner kick from the left side by Zarate, he found the head of Cahalane standing six yards out from the goal. His header went just under the crossbar and into the net to tie the game.
- SSU took a 2-1 lead in the 72nd minute of play. As Rojas earned possession in their own territory, he made a pass to Rohane in the center of Cougar territory. Rohane then passed it to Cunningham just outside the top left corner of the box, who put a shot into the upper left corner of the goal.
- CSUSM then made it a 2-2 game in the 80th minute. After Giovanni Marsh's penalty kick attempt went off the SSU keeper, Lovgren grabbed the rebound and promptly put the ball into the net.
