SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Entering its final weekend of home competition at The Cage, the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (7-2-3, 4-0-2 CCAA) will face Sonoma State (2-7-3, 0-5-1 CCAA) on Friday at 12:30 p.m. before its home finale of the regular season against Cal Poly Humboldt (10-1-2, 4-1-1 CCAA) on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

LAST WEEK
- CSUSM tallied its eighth and ninth shutouts of the season last week with a pair of 2-0 wins at Cal State Monterey Bay and at home against San Francisco State.
- The Cougars increased their unbeaten streak to seven games – the program's longest as an NCAA Division II member (2015-present) and tied for the fourth longest in program history.
- Earning six points for the weekend, CSUSM is still second in the CCAA standings with 14 points.
CCAA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
- Nani Kia'aina was named the CCAA Women's Soccer Player of the Week after recording two game-winning assists against Cal State Monterey Bay and San Francisco State.
- Kia'aina is the first Cougar to earn a CCAA Player of the Week honor since Courtney McLeish in 2016.
- Her two assists gave Kia'aina a team-leading five assists for the season – tying for the most in the CCAA and also tying for the fourth-most in a single season at CSUSM.
- Her nine points for the season rank second on the team.

- With nine shutouts for the season, the Cougars' shutout percentage of .750 ranks sixth nationally and first in the CCAA.
- CSUSM also has the 12th-best goals-against average in the nation and leads the CCAA at .417 goals allowed per game.
- The Cougars have outscored their opponents 23-5 this season.
- Taking 6.67 corner kicks per game, the Cougars rank 16th nationally and lead the conference.
- CSUSM also leads the CCAA in points per game (5.50), scoring offense (1.92) and total goals (23).

- To date, CSUSM has played the second-easiest schedule in the CCAA with past opponents accounting for .446 winning percentage. On the flip side, the Cougars' remaining schedule is the third toughest with future opposition tallying a .582 winning percentage.
- CSUSM's 56 total points as well as its 20 goals and 16 assists for the season are the program's most in the NCAA Division II era (2015-present).

FRIDAY AGAINST THE SEAWOLVES

- Head coach Bobby Renneisen enters his ninth year in charge of the women's program and 17th overall at CSUSM.

- Between 2006-13, Renneisen was an assistant/associate head coach for both the men's and women's soccer teams.
