SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (2-2-2) will play its final non-conference game on Saturday as it visits fellow CCAA opponent Cal State San Bernardino (3-2-0) for an 11:30 a.m. kickoff at Premier Field.
LAST WEEK
- The Cougars began the week with a scoreless draw at Fresno Pacific. CSUSM outshot FPU 12-10 while eight Cougars had at least one shot.
- The 0-0 tie was CSUSM's conference-leading fourth shutout of the season. With a shutout percentage of .667, the Cougars rank 15th nationally.
- Cougar keeper Allison Marcure also recorded her fourth shutout to rank second in Division II.
- CSUSM ended the week with a 2-0 loss at Westmont.

SATURDAY AT SAN BERNARDINO
- The Coyotes come into Saturday's contest fresh off a 1-0 win at Azusa Pacific on Thursday.
- Last week, CSUSB earned an 8-0 win over Arizona Christian before taking a 5-4 loss at then-No. 13 Point Loma.
- Nathaly Losada Lucumi and Sarah Mahfoud are leading the Coyotes with three goals each this season.
- CSUSB was picked to finish just ahead of CSUSM in the CCAA Preseason Coaches Poll in ninth.
- The Cougars are 4-1-4 in the all-time series against the Coyotes, taking the first loss in the series last year in San Bernardino.

2022 CSUSM WOMEN'S SOCCER NOTES
- CSUSM will begin its 2022 season with a very young roster as it welcomes 13 incoming freshmen to its roster of 28.
- The Cougars return 12 from the 2021 squad, including top-goal scorers Chloe King, Sierra Moore and Hunter Morton and starting keeper Allison Marcure.
- Marcure ended the 2021 season with the 25th-best save percentage in Division II at .855 and ranked third in the CCAA.
- Graduate students Taylor Moorehead and Julia Atlee join CSUSM as transfers from San Diego State and Hartford, respectively.
- In 2021, the Cougars finished the season at .500 with an overall record of 6-6-3.
- CSUSM finished 10th in the CCAA standings with a 2-6-3 record.
- The Cougars were picked to finish 10th in the 2022 CCAA Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll.
- Starting this season, the NCAA has eliminated overtime periods from men's and women's soccer regular-season games. All games tied after 90 minutes will end in a draw.
THE RENNEISEN FILE
- Head coach Bobby Renneisen enters his ninth year in charge of the women's program and 17th overall at CSUSM.
- Renneisen's 2018 team made its second consecutive CCAA Tournament appearance in 2018 while also handing No. 1 UC San Diego its lone regular-season loss.
- Between 2006-13, Renneisen was an assistant/associate head coach for both the men's and women's soccer teams.
- As the women's head coach, Renneisen is 49-46-30Â (.512) for his career with the Cougars.
