HOW IT HAPPENED
- Scoreless heading into the top of the sixth, the Otters changed that with two runs. With the bases loaded, an infield fly was called, but the ball was dropped on the misplay and allowed two runners to score.
- CSUMB made it a 6-0 game in the top of the seventh inning. After a leadoff homer by Nico Hartojo and an RBI single by Chase Lindemann, the Otters plated two more runs on an errant CSUSM throw to first with two outs.
- With two on and one out in the top of the eighth, CSUMB's Hunter Harris put a Texas Leaguer into shallow right field to score two more Otter runs and make it 8-0.
- After a leadoff triple by the Otters' Adrian Collazo in the top of the ninth, Arthur Soto hit a sacrfice fly to left to score Collazo and give CSUMB a 9-0 lead.
- Down to its final three outs, the Cougars were unable to get anything going as two groundouts and a strikeout ended the game.
