RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's track & field team took first place at the RCC Invitational while a 19-year old school record fell on Friday.

TOP PERFORMANCES
- Bianca Encio broke the school record in the shot put at 12.23 meters. She beat out her old PR by .48 while breaking the 19-year old school record of 12.17 meter set by Cynthia Flores in 2003.
- Encio also took third in the hammer throw at 36.42 meters.
- Devin Yarbrough posted the second-best long jump mark in school history with a winning mark of 5.53 meters. Teammate Kayla James placed second in the event at 5.15 meters.
- Yarbrough later placed third in the 100-meter dash with a wind-aided time of 12.39.
- Amaya Mahmoud won the triple jump with the second-best mark in program history at 11.45 meters – .32 better than her previous PR in outdoor competition. Cam Ellis took third with a wind-aided distance of 10.45 meters.
- James won the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.02. Teigen O'Donnell came in third at 26.88.
- Morgann Wilson placed second in the javelin at 29.99 meters.
- Ana Mercado took third in the 1500-meter run at 4:45.64 while teammate Clarissa Garcia finished just .17 behind her in fourth.
- Isabel Ortiz finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.96 while teammate Sarah Davis was fourth at 1:03.52.
- Maria Texis placed third in the 800-meter run at 2:22.25.
