CARSON, Calif. – A walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth inning was the difference as the Cal State San Marcos baseball team (6-12, 2-6 CCAA) fell 7-6 in the series finale at Cal State Dominguez Hills (14-8, 9-3 CCAA) on Sunday afternoon at Toro Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With two on and one out in the top of the second inning, Zack Berohn hit a sacrifice fly to center to score Rivera for the first run of the game.
- The Toros evened the contest at 1-1 in the bottom of the inning with their own sac fly to center by Caleb Ellis.
- CSUSM regained the lead in the top of the fourth inning with an RBI single to right by Teisher that scored Rivera and gave the Cougars a 2-1 advantage.
- With one out and bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth, CSUDH's Anthony Accordino picked up an RBI on a fielder's choice to short and evened the game at 2-2.
- The Cougars retook the lead at 3-2 in the top of the sixth. With runners on the corners thanks to a pair of singles by Reece and Van Linge, Rivera hit a sac fly to center to score Reece from third.
- The Toros took a 6-3 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. After Eric Smelko hit a sac fly into foul territory in left field, Scott Ogrin hit a three-run blast to left to put CSUDH up by three.
- CSUSM cut the deficit to 6-4 in the top of the seventh. With two on and two outs, Reece hit an RBI single back up the middle to score Niko Diaz from second.
- Back-to-back jacks to left by Rivera and Stanford to lead off the top of the eighth tied the game at 6-all.
- Still tied heading into bottom of the ninth, the Toro's Ogrin hit a solo shot on a 1-1 pitch to right center to give CSUDH the series sweep.

- Toro reliever Carlos Bracamontes (1-0) earned the win after throwing two strikeouts in one inning while allowing just one walk.
