POMONA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (5-5-3, 3-2-1 CCAA) fell 1-0 to Cal Poly Pomona (5-5-2, 4-1-1 CCAA) on Sunday at Kellogg Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- On a cross into the box, Oper headed the ball to an open Salazar just outside the top of the box and took a shot that went into the upper right corner of the goal to give the Broncos a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute.
- CSUSM outshot CPP 6-3 in the first half and had a 5-1 advantage on corner kicks.
- The Broncos outshot the Cougars 5-4 in the second half as the CSUSM was only able to put one shot on goal.

- This was CSUSM's third consecutive loss to CPP and was the first one-goal loss to the Broncos since 2017.
- CPP's goal was the first against CSUSM in Pomona since 2007.
- The Cougars ended up outshooting the Broncos, 10-8.
- Natalia Huntington led CSUSM with three shots.
- The Cougars are now tied for fourth in the CCAA standings with 10 points.
