SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team (4-7-1, 2-3-0 CCAA) fell 2-0 to No. 12 Cal State LA (8-1-2, 2-1-2 CCAA) on Thursday afternoon at The Cage.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute of play. A couple of passes from the right side by Torres and Chong made their way into the middle of the box, where Beli put the ball into the center of the net.
- In the 56th minute, Torres received a cleared ball from the CSUSM keeper in the middle of the field and proceeded to pass the ball to the left side to Beli. With only one defender to beat, Beli took a shot from left side of the box and found the left side of the net to give LA a 2-0 lead.

- The Cougars were outshot 7-1 for the game with Stefano Brunetto tallying CSUSM's lone shot.
- The Golden Eagles had a 5-0 advantage on corner kicks.
