SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Coming off two CCAA road wins this past weekend, the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (5-4-2, 3-1-0 CCAA) will host Cal State LA (5-2-3, 2-0-2 CCAA) in The Cage on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. before concluding the weekend at Cal Poly Pomona (3-5-2, 2-1-1 CCAA) on Sunday at 2 p.m.
LAST WEEK
- The Cougars began the weekend with a 1-0 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills with a 51st-minute goal by Natalie Paulson on a corner kick by Sierra Moore.
- CSUSM then defeated Cal State Monterey Bay with two unanswered second-half goals by Jenna Frankina and Claire Hernandez to take a 2-1 victory.
- The wins put CSUSM into a first-place tie with Sonoma State in the CCAA standings at nine points.
- CSUSM has already matched its 2021 point total in only four games.
COUGARS BY THE NUMBERS
- Allison Marcure's goals-against average of .818 ranks third in the CCAA and 58th nationally.
- Marcure's five shutouts for the season rank second in the conference and 16th nationally.

- Marcure ended the 2021 season with the 25th-best save percentage in Division II at .855 and ranked third in the CCAA.
- Graduate students Taylor Moorehead and Julia Atlee join CSUSM as transfers from San Diego State and Hartford, respectively.
- In 2021, the Cougars finished the season at .500 with an overall record of 6-6-3.

THE RENNEISEN FILE
- Head coach Bobby Renneisen enters his ninth year in charge of the women's program and 17th overall at CSUSM.
- Renneisen's 2018 team made its second consecutive CCAA Tournament appearance in 2018 while also handing No. 1 UC San Diego its lone regular-season loss.
- Between 2006-13, Renneisen was an assistant/associate head coach for both the men's and women's soccer teams.
