ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – In its final road game of the regular season, the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (6-5-6, 4-2-4 CCAA) posted a scoreless draw against league-leader (RV) Sonoma State (10-3-3, 6-2-2 CCAA) on Sunday at Seawolf Soccer Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Scoreless after 45 minutes, SSU had a slight advantage in shots at 3-2 while CSUSM had two corner kicks for the period.
• The Seawolves turned up the pressure in the second half with 12 shots to the Cougars' one but failed to capitalize.

 
QUICK KICKS

• Earning another point, CSUSM will enter the final game of the regular season in a tie with Cal Poly Pomona for fifth place in the CCAA standings with 16 points.
• CSUSM's defense kept SSU at bay as it was outshot 15-3 while the Seawolves put five shots on goal.
• Natalia Huntington, Ally Tomasetti and Daniella Paulson had the Cougars' three shots.
• With fives saves, Allison Marcue posted her eighth shutout of the season to tie her 2021 total.
• The Cougars had a 4-0 advantage on corner kicks.
• This was the first-ever tie between CSUSM and SSU as the Seawolves had won all four of the previous matchups.
