CSUSM Ends Season with Scoreless Draw Against CSUSB

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (6-5-7, 4-2-5 CCAA) ended its 2022 season with a scoreless draw against Cal State San Bernardino (7-6-4, 3-4-4 CCAA) on Thursday afternoon at The Cage.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • A scoreless first half had the Cougars outshooting the Coyotes 7-3 while both sides had equal possessions.
  • CSUSM keeper Allison Marcure made a pivotal save for the Cougars in the 49th minute as CSUSB's Nathaly Losada Lucumi saw her low shot into the right side of the goal gobbled up by Marcure.
  • A would-be Cougar goal was called off in the 87th minute due to an offsides call.

  • This is the first time in program history that CSUSM has recorded four consecutive draws.
  • The Cougars ended up outshooting the Coyotes by a 12-9 margin while both teams put six shots on goal.
