SAN MARCOS, Calif. –  The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (6-5-4, 4-2-2 CCAA) will begin its final regular-season road trip with a stop at San Francisco State (4-8-3, 2-4-2 CCAA) on Friday at 3 p.m. before traveling to (RV) Sonoma State (9-3-2, 5-2-1 CCAA) for a 2 p.m. match on Sunday.
LAST WEEK
- The Cougars defeated Chico State with a 1-0 victory last Friday, a team that was and still is receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll.
- Diana Mendoza had the game's lone goal with an assist from Emma Hord in the 35th minute.
- CSUSM ended the weekend with a 1-1 draw against Cal Poly Humboldt on Sunday.
- Natalia Huntington scored the equalizing goal in the 51st minute off a corner kick from Sierra Moore and a headed pass from Claire Hernandez.
- Earning four points for the weekend, CSUSM is currently in a three-way tie with Chico State and Stanislaus State for third in the CCAA standings.

- Goalkeeper Allison Marcure has the third-best goals-against average in the CCAA and ranks 44th nationally at .733 while her seven shutouts rank third in the league and 19th in Division II.

SUNDAY AT SONOMA
- The Seawolves come into the weekend tied for first in the CCAA standings with Cal State LA at 16 points.
- Last weekend, SSU fell 2-1 at LA before earning a 2-1 victory at Cal Poly Pomona.
- The Seawolves were receiving votes in the latest edition of the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll.

2022 CSUSM WOMEN'S SOCCER NOTES
- CSUSM will begin its 2022 season with a very young roster as it welcomes 13 incoming freshmen to its roster of 28.
- The Cougars return 12 from the 2021 squad, including top-goal scorers Chloe King, Sierra Moore and Hunter Morton and starting keeper Allison Marcure.
- Marcure ended the 2021 season with the 25th-best save percentage in Division II at .855 and ranked third in the CCAA.
- Graduate student Taylor Moorehead joins CSUSM as a transfer from San Diego State.
- In 2021, the Cougars finished the season at .500 with an overall record of 6-6-3.
- CSUSM finished 10th in the CCAA standings with a 2-6-3 record.
- The Cougars were picked to finish 10th in the 2022 CCAA Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll.
- Starting this season, the NCAA has eliminated overtime periods from men's and women's soccer regular-season games. All games tied after 90 minutes will end in a draw.
THE RENNEISEN FILE
- Head coach Bobby Renneisen enters his ninth year in charge of the women's program and 17th overall at CSUSM.
- Renneisen's 2018 team made its second consecutive CCAA Tournament appearance in 2018 while also handing No. 1 UC San Diego its lone regular-season loss.
- Between 2006-13, Renneisen was an assistant/associate head coach for both the men's and women's soccer teams.
- As the women's head coach, Renneisen is 53-49-32Â (.515) for his career with the Cougars.
