SEASIDE, Calif. – Two unanswered second-half goals led the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (5-4-2, 3-1-0) to a 2-1 win over Cal State Monterey Bay (4-4-3, 1-2-1 CCAA) on Sunday at the Otter Sports Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Otters struck first in the 17th minute of play as Moeder put the ball into the left side of the net on a penalty kick.
- After 45 minutes, the Cougars outshot the Otters by a 7-3 margin and were up 2-0 on corner kicks.
- CSUSM evened the game at 1-1 in the 49th minute. Off a Moore free kick from about 30 yards out, Frankina headed the ball into the net from six yards out on the right side.
- The Cougars took a 2-1 lead in the 72nd minute. Off a corner kick from the left side by Mendoza, Hernandez headed the ball into the right side of the net to give CSUSM the go-ahead goal.
