POMONA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (5-10, 4-4 CCAA) wrapped up its four-match road trip on Saturday afternoon, falling to No. 20 Cal Poly Pomona (14-1, 8-0 CCAA) in three consecutive sets in Kellogg Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars found themselves down 20-7 in the opening set before going on an 8-3 run to make it 23-15. CPP tallied a 25-17 first-set win.
- CSUSM retook the lead four times to open the second set before CPP went on a 5-0 run to take an 8-4 lead. The Broncos cruised to a 25-13 second-set victory to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
- The Cougars kept the score close until the 10-8 mark when the Broncos went on a 10-1 run before heading to a 25-14 third-set victory and secured the sweep.Â
