FRESNO, Calif. – Despite leading in multiple categories, the Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss to Fresno Pacific on Saturday night at Ramirez Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
	- The Sunbirds got on the board in the fifth minute with a Souza goal into the bottom left corner of the net from 20 yards out.
 
	- FPU took a 2-0 lead in the 54th minute as Lepe's shot from midway in the box found the back of the net in the lower-left corner after assists from Ruelas and Souza.
 
	- In the 59th minute, Lepe struck again with an unassisted goal into the lower right corner of the net from six yards out to put the Sunbirds up 3-0.
 
 
QUICK KICKS
	- CSUSM falls to 0-3-0 on the year while FPU improves to 1-1.
 
	- The Cougars are now 2-5 in the all-time series against the Sunbirds and are still winless in Fresno at 0-4.
 
	- CSUSM had the advantage in shots (16-11), shots on goal (7-4) and corner kicks (3-2).
 
	- While both teams recorded 14 fouls each, FPU racked up four yellow cards to CSUSM's two.
 
	- The Cougars held possession for 55% of the contest and spent 63% of their time in Sunbird territory.
 
	- Juan Camilo Salazar led all players with six shots and three shots on goal.
 
	- This is the first time since 2011 and the second time overall that CSUSM has started a season at 0-3-0 with no goals scored.
