Renneisen Announces 2021 Women's Soccer Schedule

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Ready to get back to action, Cal State San Marcos Women's Soccer Head Coach Bobby Renneisen announced his team's 2021 schedule on Thursday.

"We are extremely excited to all be back together and competing this Fall," Renneisen said. "The appreciation for the opportunity to get back on the field has been a motivational force that has inspired our student-athletes to relish the camaraderie, support and competitive spirit that the team environment provides. The positivity in this group has been inspirational and we are collectively eager to put that mindset into action very soon."

The Cougars will begin their 2021 season on the road with a non-conference game at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 5 before coming back to San Marcos to host La Verne in their home opener on Sept. 9. CSUSM will then continue its non-conference schedule by visiting Biola on Sept. 11 and The Master's on Sept 18. The Cougars will round out non-conference play on Sept. 25 by hosting CCAA foe Cal State San Bernardino.

CSUSM will kickoff its CCAA schedule on the road at Humboldt State and Chico State on Oct. 1 and 3. The Cougars will return to The Cage for their first CCAA home games against Sonoma State and San Francisco State on Oct. 8 and 10. After a quick trip up to Cal State LA on Oct. 14, CSUSM will return to San Marcos on Oct. 17 to host Cal Poly Pomona. The Cougars will hit the road for a pair of games on Oct. 22 and 24 at Stanislaus State and Cal State East Bay before returning to The Cage to host Cal State Monterey Bay and Cal State Dominguez Hills in CSUSM's final home games on Oct. 29 and Oct. 31. The regular season will come to an end at Cal State San Bernardino on Nov. 4.

Should CSUSM qualify for the 2021 CCAA Tournament, they'll play a first-round game at a to-be-determined campus site on Nov. 7. The winner of that contest will move on to Pomona, where the semifinals and finals of the CCAA Tournament will be played on Nov. 12 and 14.
