SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team dropped a three-set CCAA match (17-25, 20-25, 20-25) to No. 4 Cal State San Bernardino on Thursday night in The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Down 4-0 early in the opening set, the Cougars closed the gap to 5-3 on an ace by Adams.
- CSUSM stayed close with the Coyotes until the 18-17 mark when CSUSB rattled off seven unanswered points to take the first set at 25-17.
- The Coyotes pulled away in the second set at the 9-7 mark with a 9-3 run.
- CSUSB cruised to a 25-20 win in the second set to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
- The Cougars took a 3-1 lead in the third set on a Doering tip over the block.
- A Ridgeway solo block made it an 8-6 game with CSUSB leading.                                    Â
- Adam's kill to the far corner evened the game at 10-all.
- A shoot kill by Doering gave CSUSM a 12-11 lead in the third set.
- The teams traded leads until the 15-all mark when CSUSB went on a roll to take the third set at 25-20 to clinch the sweep.
