Kassy Doering's 15 kills, the Cal State San Marcos volleyball team got redemption on Saturday with a sweep (25-21, 25-23, 25-18) over Cal State East Bay in The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A Phillips ace followed by back-to-back kills by Doering gave CSUSM an 11-7 lead in the opening set.
- CSUSM hit .286 in the first set to claim the victory at 25-21.
- Stephanie Adam's kill put CSUSM up 14-10.
- A long, crazy rally with Doering finishing it with a kill off a 1-ball attack gave CSUSM a 23-22 lead, forcing CSUEB to take its first timeout.
- A Pioneer attacking error gave the Cougars a 25-23 win, giving them a 2-0 lead in the match.
- After breaking a 1-1 tie, it was all CSUSM in the third set. The Cougars sprinted out to a 7-2 lead after a CSUEB setting error.
- Two consecutive kills by Vander Weide extended CSUSM's lead to 16-7.
- CSUSM put together a .263 hitting percentage in the third set to collect a 25-18 win and confirm the sweep.
