ARCATA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team played to a 0-0 tie in its CCAA opener at Humboldt State on Friday at College Creek Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Cougars were held to just one shot in the first half with no shots on goal while the Lumberjacks only got off three shots with one on goal.
• CSUSM outshot HSU in the second half by a 5-4 margin, but all four of the Lumberjacks' shots were on goal.
• In both overtime periods, HSU outshot CSUSM by a 6-1 margin, and it had the only shot on goal in the extra 20 minutes.

• CSUSM moves to 4-0-1 (0-0-1 CCAA) while HSU moves to 3-2-3 (0-0-1 CCAA).
• Although CSUSM only had possession for 45% of the game, 68% of their possession was spent in HSU territory.
• Despite the fact that they were outshot 13-7, the Cougars did hold a 5-4 advantage for shots on goal.
• This was CSUSM's fifth consecutive game with more shots on goal than its opponent.
• Cougar keeper Allison Marcure posted her fourth shutout of the season to go along with her four saves.
• Grace Marks led the Cougars with three shots, all of which were on goal.
• CSUSM last played to a draw in its CCAA opener in 2015 as it tied Cal State San Bernardino with a 1-1 score.
• This was the first time the Cougars played to a scoreless draw in a CCAA opener.
