ARCATA, Calif. – In the CCAA opener, the Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team and No. 13 Humboldt State settled for a scoreless draw at College Creek Field on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half saw an 8-2 advantage in shots by HSU, but CSUSM held the Lumberjacks to two shots on goal.
- Jesus Mentado tallied five saves for the Cougars in the second half as the Lumberjacks took nine shots.
- In both overtimes, HSU had the lone shot on goal.
- CSUSM played a super successful defense against the HSU attack for all 110 minutes as the Lumberjacks had a 21-5 advantage for shots with an 8-2 lead for shots on goal.
