SAN BERNARDINO – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team dropped a three-set California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) match to No. 1 Cal State San Bernardino on Friday night at Coussoulis Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Cougars quickly found themselves down 10-0 in the opening set and were not able to recover from it, falling 25-12 to CSUSB.
• CSUSM cut the Coyote lead to 17-13 on an Aguilar kill in the second set, but CSUSB prevailed with a 25-15 win.
• The Cougars challenged CSUSB in the final set, never allowing the Coyotes to go on a larger run than three points. The Coyotes eventually collected the win at 25-18.

• CSUSM falls to 7-5 overall and 1-2 in CCAA while the top-ranked Coyotes remain undefeated at 10-0 (3-0 CCAA).
• Aguilar tallied nine kills for the third time this season, narrowly missing out on tallying her fifth double-digit kill match.
