SAN MARCOS, Calif. – After 110 minutes of action, the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team had to settle for a 0-0 draw against the Simon Fraser Clan on Saturday afternoon at The Cage.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Cougars and Clan kept the shots to a minimum in the first half as CSUSM posted two to SFU's one.
• CSUSM came out ready to attack in the second half as the Cougars took 10 shots while holding SFU to none.
• Still knotted up at 0-0 at the end of regulation, CSUSM entered its second consecutive overtime game.
• Both sides put up two shots in the first overtime period, but only SFU had a shot on target as Yesenia Betancourt made her lone save of the game.
• The Cougars had the only two shots of the second overtime period, but neither shot was able to find the back of the net.

• With the tie, CSUSM now sits at 1-1-1 on the year while SFU moves to 0-0-1.
• The Cougars had a 13-shot advantage at 16-3.
• CSUSM took 12 corners for the game while SFU had only one.

• Of the Cougars' total time of possession, 76% of it occurred in SFU territory.
• This was the first time CSUSM has played in back-to-back overtime games since 2017 when it played in four straight.
