AZUSA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team held tough for 98 minutes, but a golden goal in overtime by Azusa Pacific handed CSUSM a 1-0 loss on Thursday night at the Cougar Soccer Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Still scoreless with nine seconds remaining in regulation, an APU foul in the box by keeper Jennifer Kovisto allowed for a CSUSM penalty kick. Harloe put the shot into the lower left corner of the goal, but Kovisto was able to make the save and send the game into overtime.
- After receiving a long pass on the right side of the field, APU's Emily Koflanovich placed a one-touch pass into the middle of the box. Waiting there was Maddy Morrison, who shot the ball into the upper right corner of the net to hand APU the golden-goal win.
