FREMONT, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos softball team had a tough afternoon at the plate on Friday, scoring only one run as San Francisco State swept a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) doubleheader against the Cougars by scores of 4-0 and 8-1 at Ohlone Softball Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- SF State got on the board in the opening frame on Nina Revior's two-out RBI single.
- After a CSUSM error and a hit-by-pitch, Tianna Jacques brought both runners home on a triple in the fifth to put the Gators up 3-0.
- SF State's final run came in the fifth when Michelle Castro stole third and scored on a CSUSM error after getting on with a single down the third-base line.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- SF State got out first once again as Jacques scored on Nunes' ground out in the bottom of the third.
- CSUSM evened the game at 1-1 in the third when Andelin scored Forstie on a single down the third-base line.
- The Gators retook the lead at 3-1 in the fourth on Nunes' two-RBI single up the middle.
- SF State tacked on four more runs in the fifth inning on four hits.
- The final run came on Brylynn Vallejo's home run in the sixth inning. Â
