SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos softball team fell in both games of Friday's California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) doubleheader to Stanislaus State by scores of 6-4 and 3-0. The Cougars held the Warriors to 12 scoreless frames, allowing runs in only the first and last innings of the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Warriors put up six runs in the first frame, highlighted by Maya Yoshiura's two-run home run.
- All four CSUSM runs came in the second inning.
- Calderon got things started with an RBI single down the left line to score Newhouser, who reached on a walk.
- Melody Forstie drew a bases-loaded walk to make it 6-2.
- Kymmie Woken, who also reached on a walk, scored on a fielder's choice.
- CSUSM's final run came on a double steal by Ronni Silas while Calderon plated to make it 6-4.
