- Alec Frank connected on a 3-pointer as time ran out in the opening half as the Cougars trailed 36-21 to CPP at the break.
- CPP shot 58.3% (14-of-24) from the field in the first 20 minutes.
- CSUSM opened the second half with an 8-0 run to cut the deficit to 36-29.
- The Broncos responded with their own run at 13-0 to extend their cushion to 49-29.
