LOS ANGELES – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team fell 75-69 to Cal State Los Angeles in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play on Saturday at Cal State LA Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSULA led the game wire-to-wire.
- The Cougars ended the first half with a 41-32 deficit.
- CSUSM shot 35.7% (10-of-28) from the field in the first 20 minutes while CSULA shot 42.4% (14-of-33) with nine 3-pointers.
- The Cougars brought the deficit down to two points at 50-48 with 11:48 to go in the second half as part of an 11-4 run.
- After CSULA's lead slimmed to two, the Golden Eagles pumped their lead back up to double digits at 61-51 with an 11-3 run at the 6:50 mark.
- A 7-1 run by the Cougars cut the deficit to 62-58 with 4:32 to go.
- The Golden Eagles once again took a 10-point lead at 69-59 at the 2:49 mark, but the Cougars put together an 8-2 run to cut the deficit to four points at 71-67 with 1:03 remaining.
- CSULA drained four consecutive free throws in the final 30 seconds of the game before McCain put up a layup with one second remaining.
- The Cougars shot 40% (12-of-30) from the field in the final 20 minutes while the Golden Eagles shot 36.7% (11-of-30).

- CSUSM falls to 4-5 (0-3 CCAA) while CSULA improves to 5-3 (1-3 CCAA).
- The Cougars ended the game shooting 37.9% (22-of-58) from the field while the Golden Eagles shot 39.7% (25-of-63).
- Fuller tallied his 10th double-double as a Cougar and his third of the season.
- The Golden Eagles had four players with at least 12 points. Shacquille Dawkins led CSULA with 17 points.
- Seits' 23 points led the game and were a season high.
