LOS ANGELES – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team dropped a three-set California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) match on Tuesday at Cal State LA.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougar dropped the opening set 25-14 after accumulating only six kills to CSULA's 15.
- CSUSM closed the gap to 22-21 in the second set, but the Golden Eagles closed it out with a 25-22 victory to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
- After taking a 2-1 lead, the Cougars never trailed until the 17-17 mark when the Golden Eagles put together an 8-3 run to clinch the final set win.

- CSUSM dropped to 8-6 overall and 2-3 in CCAA action while the Golden Eagles move up to 7-4, 3-0 in conference play.
- In their previous meeting, the Cougars pulled off a four-set victory in Los Angeles over then No. 12 ranked CSULA last November.
