SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team matched its best start, reaching 6-0 for the second time in program history, with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Cal State Monterey Bay in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play Sunday at The Cage.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- On a break from the right side, Juan Camilo Salazar launched a hard kick that bounced off the crossbar in the 33rd minute.
- The Otters got on the board first when Barba tapped it to Hernandez to get around CSUSM keeper Justin Tesar to finish it to the far left.
- Morrison got the equalizer on a penalty kick that he sent to the center of the net.
- Chaos in the box resulted in an own goal for CSUSM.
QUICK KICKS
- The Cougars improve to 6-0 on the season and 2-0 in CCAA play while the Otters drop to 1-4 overall, 0-2 in conference action.
- A red card in the first half resulted in the Otters playing down a man for 55 minutes.
- CSUSM outshot the CSUMB, 15-9, while the Otters had a slight advantage on corner kicks at 4-3.
- Tesar tallied three saves in the contest.
- Salazar recorded a team-high five shots with two on frame for CSUSM.
