SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team dropped a hard fought 2-0 decision to Dixie State on Saturday afternoon at The Cage.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Eighteen minutes into the opening half, the Trailblazers' Ambree Bennett sent the ball into the bottom left corner from 10 yards out to give the visiting team the early 1-0 advantage.
- After intermission, Dixie State added an insurance goal when Whitley Johns broke away for a one-on-one and tapped it into an empty goal.
QUICK KICKS
- After being outshot in the first half 4-0, the Cougars stepped it up in the second half with a 5-2 shot advantage.
- CSUSM's Bailey Cockrill tallied two saves on the day.
- Alyssa Pigoni led CSUSM with two shots.
