SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a 74-64 victory over Point Loma on Tuesday night at The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM led by as many as nine points (19-10) before the Sea Lions charged back to close the gap at 21-19 at the end of the first quarter.
- Leading a majority of the first half, CSUSM headed into the halftime break with a 36-32 lead despite having a slightly lower field-goal percentage than PLNU (41.9% - 44.4%).
- The Cougars opened the second half with a 14-2 run to go up 52-34, their largest lead of the night.
- The Sea Lions dwindled the CSUSM lead to 62-59 at the midway point of the fourth quarter.
- The Cougars closed out the game with a 12-5 run to secure the victory.
FAST BREAKS
- CSUSM finished its non-conference scheduled with a 3-1 record while PLNU dropped to 0-5.
- The Cougars outrebounded the Sea Lions, 43-26.
- CSUSM shot 54.2 percent from the field in the second half to finish with a 47.3 field-goal percentage.
- The Cougars went 10-of-11 from the charity stripe in the second half.
- Both teams sank four 3-pointers in the contest.
- Forel recorded her first double-double of the season with 23 points and 14 rebounds.
