LOS ANGELES – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team pulled off a four-set California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) upset over No. 12 nationally-ranked Cal State L.A. on the road on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars came out of the gate strong to take a 22-18 lead, but the Golden Eagles rallied back to snag a 25-23 opening set win.
- CSUSM evened the match at 1-1 behind a .410 attack percentage to take the second set at 25-17.
- With back-to-back kills by Fortuné and Aleese Wheaton, the Cougars broke a 10-10 tie and never looked back to take a 25-21 third set victory.
- CSUSM halted a late charge in the fourth set by the Golden Eagles, clinching the match with a Fortune-Hulla block at 25-23.
