SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team fell in three straight sets to No. 1 Cal State San Bernardino in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play on Saturday night at The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSB pulled away halfway through the opening set, recording 19 kills to CSUSM's eight to record the 25-17 win.
- The Cougars came out hot in the second set, battling with the Coyotes tooth and nail before a 5-0 run put CSUSB up 18-13. CSUSM fought back to even the match at 23-23 and forced a Coyote timeout. Back-to-back CSUSB kills lifted the Coyotes to a 26-24 win.
- The Cougars fought off four match points before CSUSB eventually earned the sweep with a 25-16 victory.

- The Cougars fall to 8-10 on the season and 4-6 in CCAA play while the Coyotes remain undefeated in CCAA action at 11-0 (18-1 overall).
- CSUSM tallied a season-low two blocks in the contest despite averaging 2.04 per set this season.
