SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team dropped a three-set California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) match to visiting No. 24 Cal Poly Pomona on Friday night at The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A six-point run by the Broncos put them up 9-5, but CSUSM charged back to even the opening set at 18-18. CPP retook the lead to go on a 7-2 run to snag the first set at 25-20.
- The second set had eight ties and five lead changes. With two set points beginning at 24-21, the Broncos rallied back with five unanswered points to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
- The Cougars took a quick 6-2 lead in the third set before CPP closed the gap at eight points apiece. The Broncos distanced themselves at 20-15 before CSUSM evened the match at 23-23. The Cougars fought off two match points before kills by Andrea Bosnic and Ally Wilder clinched the Bronco win.
QUICK HITS
- CSUSM falls to 8-9 overall and 4-5 in CCAA action while CPP moves up to 15-3 on the season, 8-2 in conference play.
- For the match, CSUSM hit just .146 but the Broncos didn't hit that much better, finishing the night with a .208 clip.
