CHICO, Calif. – In its next-to-last game of the regular season, the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Chico State in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action on Thursday night at University Soccer Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In the 12th minute of play, Woods received a 40-yard pass on the left flank from Bozart and headed it up and over the keeper after one bounce.
• The Cougars' best chances to score came in the first and last minutes of the game. The first shot of the game by Alyssa Pigoni went off the crossbar just 33 seconds in, and a header by Elizabeth Maass with 14 seconds remaining in the game also went off the crossbar.

 
QUICK KICKS

• CSUSM drops to 7-6-3 (6-3-2 CCAA) while Chico improves to 9-1-5 (8-1-2 CCAA).
• The Cougars had the advantage in shots at 17-9 and corner kicks at 5-1.
• CSUSM's 17 shots were its most in a game this season.
• The Wildcats made nine saves for the day compared to the Cougars' two.
