Cougars Downed by Wildcats, 1-0

CHICO, Calif. – In its next-to-last game of the 2018 season, the Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team fell 1-0 to Chico State in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action on Thursday night at University Soccer Stadium.

CHICO – 4' Jeremiah Egujie (Assist: Justin Bethke and Esten Schroeder)
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • On a run down the left side by Schroeder, he crossed to Bethke at the far post. Bethke volleyed the ball back to Egujie who one-timed the ball from 10 yards out.
  • The Wildcats' Damion Lewis earned the shutout with six saves.
 
QUICK KICKS
  • Bryan Morrison led the Cougars with four of the team's 10 shots.
  • Chico had a 16-10 advantage on shots.
  • CSUSM had five corner kicks to Chico's one.
  • The Cougars fell to 7-7-2 (3-6-2 CCAA) while the Wildcats improved to 11-4-1 (8-3 CCAA).
