Cougars End Season with Double-Overtime Victory

TURLOCK, Calif. – It took nearly 102 minutes to decide, but the Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team ended its 2018 season with a 1-0 double-overtime victory against California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) opponent Stanislaus State on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • At the top of the box, Poland passed the ball inside the box to Valenzuela on the left side. Valenzuela beat one Stanislaus defender and put the ball into the top right corner off his left foot to secure the win.
  • Justin Tesar posted his third shutout of the season with six saves.

  • CSUSM ends the season at 8-7-2 (4-6-2 CCAA) while Stanislaus concludes its season at 6-11 (2-10 CCAA).
