SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Facing a full court press the entire 40 minutes, the Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team pushed through for an 81-71 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) victory over Stanislaus State on Saturday night at The Sports Center.
The Cougars shot a season-best 55.6 percent (10-of-18) from behind the arc, finishing one shy of school single game record set at Stanislaus State on Jan. 2, 2016.
With the win, CSUSM improves to 5-6 in CCAA action (5-10 overall). The Warriors fall to 7-11 overall and 4-8 in conference play.

Savannah Camp knocked out a game-high 26 points, going 5-of-10 from 3-point land. Junior
Juliet Jones chipped in a season-best 22 points after a 4-of-6 performance from behind the arc. Senior
Lupe Cruz tallied team-high eight rebounds in addition to her seven points.
The Cougars led for 34:24 of the game including the entire second half after taking a 38-30 lead into the break.
The CSUSM defense held Stanislaus State to a 34.9 shooting percentage (22-of-63) from the field and 16.7 3-point field goal percentage (3-of-18).
Three Warriors reached double-digits in scoring with Erika Larson leading the way with 15 points in addition to her nine rebounds.
The Cougars travel to crosstown rival UC San Diego on Tuesday, Jan. 23. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
