SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Junior
Lauren Lee notched a triple-double to lead the Cal State San Marcos volleyball team to a four-set California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) victory over Chico State on Friday night at The Sports Center. The final scores were 25-21, 20-25, 25-22 and 25-21.
The Cougars improve to 4-6 overall and 1-1 in conference action. The Wildcats fall to 7-6 on the season and 1-2 CCAA play.
Lee tallied 12 kills, 15 digs and 19 assists in addition to her five blocks on the night. Junior middle blocker Faith Fortuné recorded seven total blocks including two solo blocks. Sophomore outside hitter

Grecia Cordero-Barr collected 18 digs.
The opening set had both teams taking turns for the leads until the Cougars rattled off six unanswered points to close out for the 25-21 win.
CSUSM registered no blocks as Chico State evened the match at one set apiece after claiming a 25-20 second set win.
The Cougars' block was back in the third set, recording six to shut down Chico State's offense. CSUSM took advantage of five missed Wildcat serves while Anderson put down six kills to lead CSUSM to a 25-22 victory.
Behind a .359 clip, the Cougars sailed to a 25-21 fourth set win to clinch their first win over Chico State in front of CSUSM's fans.
Makaela Keeve and Anna Baytosh led the Wildcat offense with 12 kills each.
CSUSM hosts Stanislaus State on Saturday, Sept. 23 at The Sports Center. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
