CHICO, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos baseball team fell 9-0 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) series finale at No. 1 Chico State on Sunday afternoon at Nettleton Stadium.

The Cougars drop to 13-18 overall and 3-16 in conference play. The Wildcats improve to 27-5 on the season and 20-1 in CCAA action.

CSUSM's best chance came in the third inning when junior shortstop Tyler Place and Dvorak hit back-to-back two-out singles. After both runners advanced 90 feet on a double steal, Chico State's starting pitcher Cam Greenough (5-0) got out of the jam with a strikeout.

Greenough recorded three strikeouts in six innings on the hill for the win.
