CHICO, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos baseball team fell 9-0 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) series finale at No. 1 Chico State on Sunday afternoon at Nettleton Stadium.
The Cougars drop to 13-18 overall and 3-16 in conference play. The Wildcats improve to 27-5 on the season and 20-1 in CCAA action.

Griffin Teisher combined for four of CSUSM's eight hits in the contest.
The Wildcats spread out nine runs behind nine hits over five innings.
CSUSM's best chance came in the third inning when junior shortstop
Tyler Place and Dvorak hit back-to-back two-out singles. After both runners advanced 90 feet on a double steal, Chico State's starting pitcher Cam Greenough (5-0) got out of the jam with a strikeout.
Greenough recorded three strikeouts in six innings on the hill for the win.

Alex Wall (2-4) took the loss after relinquishing six runs over four innings.
Cody Snider and Jimbo Pernetti each tallied two hits for the Wildcats.
The Cougars conclude their three-game series competition next weekend when they host Stanislaus State.
