SAN MARCOS, Calif. - The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team will travel to Northern California for a pair of California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) road games. The Cougars will take on Stanislaus State on Thursday, Feb. 9 and Chico State on Saturday, Feb. 11. Both games are set to tip-off at 7:30 p.m.

THE COUGARS AT A GLANCE
- CSUSM failed to stop San Francisco State down the stretch and suffered an 85-76 loss. With the game tied 73-73, the Cougars allowed a 12-3 Gator run in the last minute and half to ultimately fall by nine points.
- CSUSM fell to Sonoma State, 70-64. The Cougars led 49-48 with 9:24 remaining in the contest, but could not score key baskets in the closing minutes of the game.
- CSUSM trounced West Coast Baptist, 93-68. Every Cougar that saw action scored at least four points in the win.
- CSUSM leads the CCAA in scoring offense, averaging 80.6 points per game. In addition, the Cougars lead the conference in field goal percentage at .488 and three-point field goal percentage at .435.
- Junior forward Joe Boyd leads the conference in rebounding at 10.4 per game. He is second in field goal percentage, nailing 59.4 percent (129-217) of his shots.
- Senior guard Tyson Kygar ranks first in the CCAA with a .504 three-point field goal percentage. He leads the CCAA with 3.2 treys per game.
- Junior guard Josh Spiers is second in the conference with a .468 three-point field goal percentage and second in 3-pointers made with 2.6 per game.
- Junior guard Ethan Alvano leads the CCAA in scoring at 17.0 points per game. Alvano is also the conference leader in assists at 5.3 per game and is second in steals at 2.1 per game.

- The Cougars are 8-4 in their brand new home, The Sports Center.
- CSUSM was 47-9 (.839) from 2011-16 when the Cougars called MiraCosta College "home".
STANISLAUS STATE BREAKDOWN
- Stanislaus State is currently 12th out of 13 teams in the CCAA Standings with a 3-12 conference record, 6-16 overall.
- Vondel Faniel leads the Warriors averaging 12 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Faniel leads the CCAA in field goal percentage with a .606 clip.
- CSUSM is 2-0 all-time against Stanislaus State. The Cougars defeated the Warriors 64-50 and 68-60 last season.
- Stanislaus State head coach Larry Reynolds is in his eighth year at the helm.
CHICO STATE BREAKDOWN
- Chico State is currently receiving votes in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll. The Wildcats are fourth in the CCAA with an 11-4 record, 18-5 overall.
- Chico State sports the fifth best scoring defense in the nation, limiting its opponents to an average of 63.5 points per game.
- The Wildcats have four players averaging double figures with Corey Silverstrom, Isaiah Ellis, Robert Duncan and Jalen McFerren scoring 14.4, 12.3, 12.0 and 11.6 points per game, respectively.
- The Cougars are 0-3 all-time against Chico State. CSUSM was defeated by the Wildcats at home, 80-68, earlier this season.
- Head coach Greg Clink is in his ninth year at Chico State.
