LA JOLLA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team fell 1-0 to No. 7 UC San Diego in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play on Wednesdsay, Oct. 4 at Triton Soccer Stadium.
UCSD's Katie O'Laughlin headed in a corner kick sent in by Summer Bales in the fourth minute for what finished as the game-winning goal.
CSUSM falls to 6-5 overall and 4-3 in CCAA action. UCSD improves to 10-2, 7-0 CCAA.
The Cougars had three shots in the final five minutes of play but were unable to find the equalizer. UCSD edged CSUSM 14-11 in total shots and won the corner battle as well, 6-4.

Meghan Randig led the Cougars with three total shots.
CSUSM is next in action on Sunday, Oct. 8 as they welcome San Francisco State to The Cage. Kick-off is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
