SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team played to a 0-0 double-overtime draw with No. 8 UC San Diego in a nonconference match on Saturday afternoon at The Cage. Prior to kick-off, CSUSM recognized their seven seniors,

Kayla Anderson,
Holly Isaacs,
Megan Pfrunder and
Sarena Lapham all playing in their final home matches of the regular season.
The Cougars were outshot by the Tritons, 16-6, but they were just as efficient in limited attempts. CSUSM finished with three shots on goal while UCSD put four shots on frame for the match. The Tritons also dominated the corner kick battle, 13-3.
CSUSM moves to 7-6-1 overall while UCSD records its first tie of the season and now 12-2-1 on the year.
Kayla Anderson finished with two shots, one on goal while Randig and sophomore
Lauren Perry also finished with a shot on target. Betancourt was forced to make four saves on 16 total shots faced, her second clean sheet in just four starts this season.
The Cougars will wrap up their 2017 regular season schedule with two games on the road. They will take on Cal State Monterey Bay on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 12:30 p.m. and Cal State East Bay on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m.
