SAN FRANCISCO – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team dropped a three-set California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) match to San Francisco State on Friday night at The Swamp. The final scores were 27-25, 25-19 and 26-24.
The Cougars fall to 10-9 overall and 7-4 in conference action. The Gators move up to 7-12 on the season, 3-8 in conference.

CSUSM rattled off six consecutive points in the third set to take its first lead of the match at 22-21. Three unanswered SF State points gave the Gators the match victory.
Christine Johnson led the Gator attack with 17 kills while Drew Morris added 16 kills.
The Cougars conclude their Northern California trip on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Sonoma State. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
