SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team clinched a five-set, CCAA conference thriller over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday night at The Sports Center. The final scores were 21-25, 25-21, 25-9, 27-29, 15-9.
"This is a really hard fought victory for us, not only in the win column, but also in our approach from rebounding from last night's tough battle and our ability to keep a narrow focus and compete point for point," said CSUSM head coach
Andrea Leonard. "This was a total team victory in that we had players contributing both on the court and off the bench. Our team chemistry allows us to be a multi-dimensional team. I am confident that this will continue to build on our success of this program."
With the win, the Cougars improve to 7-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play. The Toros drop to 3-7, 0-2 in CCAA action.
